Land Donations

Landowners may wish to donate their prairie, glade, or woodland land to MPF to own and care for in perpetuity. MPF accepts gifts of conservation land in keeping with our Land Acquisition Policy and Gift Acceptance Policy. However, MPF accepts donations of properties with little conservation value, as well, in keeping with our Gift Acceptance Policy. Sales of donated non-conservation properties fund MPF’s prairie conservation work.

Please consult with MPF in advance of your decision so that we can make sure your intentions are fully met. We would be happy to talk with you about how to leave a prairie conservation legacy for future generations.
