Estate Bequests

Bequests are one of the easiest ways to make a gift to the Missouri Prairie Foundation (MPF). A bequest is a provision in your will or living trust that directs money or other property to specified individuals or organizations upon your death. Unlike some other planned giving options, bequests allow you to change your mind at any time. Property left to charities (such as MPF) is deductible from your taxable estate and may result in substantial tax savings. Your estate planning attorney will be familiar with the language to insert into your estate documents.

Please consult with MPF in advance of your decision so that we can make sure your intentions are fully met. We would be happy to talk with you about how to leave a prairie conservation legacy for future generations. Please contact MPF Executive Director Carol Davit at the Missouri Prairie Foundation at (573) 356-7828 or info@moprairie.org.

The Missouri Prairie Foundation does not offer legal, tax, or financial advice. Please consult your attorney, accountant, or financial advisor for assistance.
